Give Said the Little Stream SATB

Here is the finished version of Give Said the Little Stream, arranged in a choral setting.  Compared to the version posted below, this has a lot more four part harmony, especially in the 2nd half of the song. I decided to be nice to the basses and tenors and removed the high G.  The basses do have an Eb (over Middle C), but this line is doubled by the tenors so the basses can just lip sync as needed.  One of the areas that I really tightened up in this version were the added harmonies in the third verse.  The 4 part harmony creates a slightly different feel when compared to the solo version. The choir haromonies makes the piece sound a little bit more grand and there’s less of that “children’s song” feel that is present in the solo version.   Overall, though, I’m happy with how it turned out.  Now I just need to find a big enough choir to double check everything!

Thanks so much for this music! Our choir sang it last Sunday and it was so wonderful! It was a real challenge for us because it did some surprising things, but we had so much fun with it and are sad not to get to rehearse it any more. Our bishop had requested this song especially, and I had despaired of finding a SATB arrangement until I found yours. Thanks again.

Is one allowed to download your music and print it? I can’t find any information on if it is for sale, or use for non-profit to use for choirs. Could you tell me where I can find the answer to this.

      Hi Hyra,

Yes the music is available for free for non-commercial, non-profit use. I used to have a disclaimer saying so, but I am revamping the website and I think the disclaimer got lost. If you have any other questions, just let me know. Glad you like the music!

Thank you for responding. Is it possible to lower Give Said The Little Stream? Our tenors struggle with the e above middle c.

          Hi Hyra,

Yes the E is a little higher than what a normal church choir tenor section would sing. Let me know what Key you want it in and I can transpose it for you.

Is there an accompaniment without vocals? My son has been asked to sing in sacrament but there is no one who can play well enough to accompany him.

I can’t get the link to work. Was the music taken down for some reason? Thanks so much!
